Journey So Far

Together we can
Where it all began

Progress report in phases

Check out the journey so far on revenue generation for the Moses Orimolade University project. It is apt to state for the benefit of all and sundry that various options have come to play in the revenue generation for the university. First was the push made by the Planning and Implementation Committee (PIC) of the Moses Orimolade University (MOU) – Omu-Aran immediately after its inauguration in 2005 wherein the committee introduced a payment plan of =N=1,000.0 / each on a monthly basis for all members of the church. The scheme was widely accepted and contributions were awesome. Some of the exploits from the proceeds of that push included but were not limited to:

  • Preparation of the University Master Plan
  • Registration of the MOU Lands at Omu-Aran and Rore in Kwara State
  • Preparation of Academic briefs (volumes 1&2)
  • Completion of the University Law
  • Registration of Moses Orimolade Education Foundation (MOEF) etc.

Second Phase

The second phase was the intervention of Moses Orimolade University’s supervisory committee (a body that was made up of representatives of Baba Aladuras within the C&S Unification Church of Nigeria). During that period, some millions were committed to the MOU project which culminated in the construction of the E-library and the partially completed auditorium on the permanent site of the university some other Administrative programs were also funded by the Committee. At a time when all hopes were almost lost on the project, the founder of Love of Christ (LOC) Generation Church, London; Rev’d Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi appeared in the theatre and assured the Chairman of the PIC, Professor S. Adebayo Sanni, that, ‘God will do it’. That visit to the MOU site by Iya Adura in May 2019 was the turning point in the life of the university, and that was indeed the commencement of the third phase in the development of the MOU.

Third Phase

The first salvo that was fired by Iya Adura was the award of the contract for the construction of the road leading to the university site, putting in place a magnificent entrance gate, erection of a massive toilet facility and construction of some road network within the university site. All the above was put in place by the time the youths of Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria in conjunction with the PIC of MOU – Omuaran hosted the church in a programme tagged; ‘Passionate Night of Breakthrough’ on Friday 18th January 2019. In March 2019, at a competitive bidding session, a construction firm, Telsol Nigeria Limited, was awarded the contract to build the university and a sum of two billion naira was committed on that day for the project. Between March 2019 and 2022, close to three billion naira had been expended on the project by Rev’d Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi of LOC. While the major financier is still very keen on the financing of the project as clearly stated during the first visit of the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) team that visited the site in August 2022; the PIC felt that the cross of building the university should not be put on an individual hence this programme. Consequent upon the above; it behoves every seraph, friends of the church and all lovers of education to put godliness and humanity into action and join this glorious train by donating generously towards this fund. Thank you one, thank you all for being part of the actualisation of this dream.
